Directions

Chatfield State Park is located in the southwest Denver metro area, approximately 15 miles from downtown Denver.

From the West:
take I-70 east, take C-470 east
take Wadsworth Blvd. exit, turn right (south)
go ½ mile and turn left to Chatfield State Park entrance

From the East:
take I-70 west, take I-225 south, take I-25 south, take C-470 west
follow approx. 10 miles, take Wadsworth Blvd. exit, turn left (south)
go ½ mile and turn left to Chatfield State Park entrance

From the North:
take I-25 south, take C-470 west
follow approx. 10 miles, take Wadsworth Blvd. exit, turn left (south)
go ½ mile and turn left to Chatfield State Park entrance

From the South:
take I-25 north, take C-470 west
follow approx. 10 miles, take Wadsworth Blvd. exit, turn left (south)
go ½ mile and turn left to Chatfield State Park entrance

Once in Chatfield State Park, proceed past the west entrance Guard Station and turn right (south). Follow road approx. 3 miles then turn right at flying field.

Fee for daily park pass is $8/day. Overnight camping available only in park campgrounds.  Overnight pass required.   No tent camping or RV camping at the flying field.

Due to popularity of Chatfield State Park, campgrounds are usually full during summer months.  It is HIGHLY recommended that you make your campground reservations as early as possible!
